My younger brother called 911 on him, and he ended up staying the ICU and now rehab.
I woke him up the day before asking if he needed to get in a different position while sleeping because his bed was on a sharp incline like a chair and his head kept rolling while he slept. That's why he went to the hospital. He got tubes all in him, too. So sad about Dad. Missing the old days that we had. Something strange losing my parents like they never really lived in older age.

He could have posted, here. He chose to die after living off a ventilator and slowing down to not being able to do much maybe. He was only 70 years old, and my mom died when she was 59 from 3 kinds of cancer (breast, bone, and eye. ...Actually because she had medicine for cancer that made her unable to eat.) It's me and my younger brother now, and I may go to a shelter for women and children where I will work and move out in 6 months. (Well, I think it's more like an apartment.)

Do you have to go to a shelter or can you stay in your dad's house? Do you think your family members might help out, like your brother and your aunts?

I can stay in my dad's house at least 3 months. We didn't expect him to die until a year. My dad said my aunts and younger brother are supposed to take care of my issues of finding a place. It seems most group homes are a lot of money, for people with mental disorders, too. I don't have a mental disorder, but I was still diagnosed with one, simply, paranoid schizophrenia. I get SSI and may get money from my dad after his death. I have a phone interview to do with that in mid April, and my aunt is driving to our house to participate.

It sounds like your dad had a plan for you after his death and that your family will look out for you. Are you close with your brother at all? Do you think it's possible you can stay with him or with one of your aunts or is that out of the question?

My older aunt (but younger than my dad) keeps coming here, well when my dad was alive. She seems to have taken the reigns, "so-to-speak." Actually, the younger aunt said I could live with her or she'll find me a small place. My other aunt and therapist said it wasn't a good idea to live with her.

A group home doesn't sound very fun so hopefully you can find something better. If you are selling your dad's house, maybe you guys can use some of the money to get you a decent place to stay. What would you like to do as far as a home is concerned?

What would you like to do as far as a home is concerned? Oh? Yea, they're expensive, like $10K/month, group homes. Yea, my little brother said we could use money from selling the house to move and settle down. I'm trying to get back into my original college and stay in the dorms on campus, asking what to do in the Summer and Christmas when I have to leave the dorms. I don't mind supporting myself, but I really wanted to go to college and learn Violin and German. I already finished one year of Music classes there, too, except for Piano. I'm guessing I'll have to stay in a little apartment during Summer and Christmas. So, I can probably graduate in 3 years, though I wanted to graduate early and don't think that's a possibility especially with learning my instrument. I may study abroad but not sure, heard it was affordable, though I would be happy to stay at this college and go to Germany after. I'm going for a Bachelor of Music in Violin.

Do you need college to learn German and the violin? Is it possible to learn those on your own? College can be super expensive.

It's in New Orleans. I went there after high school, for music. I used to live in that area. I don't want to do school at home.

Yes, but this college is more fun. It's Catholic. It's high ranked. It's in New Orleans. I went there after high school, for music. I used to live in that area. I don't want to do school at home. How did you decide you wanted to become a violinist? First, I wanted to when I was age 6 years old. When I was in 5th grade, I said I wanted to play violin and wasn't interested in the other instruments being taught like saxophone, my teacher's daughter. Possibly the same thing happened in band or at least went through my mind in 7th grade. Also, I thought it was too late to start and saw there was a community youth orchestra. In high school, the band teacher tried to recruit me, but I said I wanted violin and they didn't have it. However, my Talented Music teacher and 2 year older Korean classmate played, but it sounded too serious and other things, though I liked them and don't remember much about how they played. In college, I signed up for Vocal and Instrumental Music Education and had to take group string class. After a semester in violin, I could have changed to viola or stayed and I stayed in violin, though we did no vibrato and progressed slowly and surely, me probably practicing right compared to others, only took about a minute day if that, sometimes maybe 2 or 3 minutes, though I carried it around with me to classes. I wanted to participate in a flash mob or something with a community theater, and I hung around after waiting and asked about pit orchestra, which I got to do on keyboard in high school 3 times. I would have gotten an oboe. I was inspired by the Freiburger Barockorchester in Germany and decided to do violin, when I was gonna take singing.
